Richard Hatch in “InAlienable”

February 14, 2008 on 1:13 pm | In News | No Comments

Star Trek’s “Chekov” — Walter Koenig — Boldly Goes Where No Feature Film Has Gone Before

Richard Hatch is starring in the current feature “InAlienable” produced by none other than Star Trek’s Walker Koenig! This film also features Marina Sirtis (Star Trek, Crash) among it’s stars.

Not to be missed!

Still guilt-ridden over the accident that took his family’s lives,
Eric Norris discovers that his body is host to a parasite from another
world. Except, it is more than a parasite: it carries his DNA. Is this
his new son or–as the government believes–a threat to mankind?

Executive Producers: Walter Koenig, Mac McRoberts, Luke McRoberts
Producers: Sky Conway, Karuna Eberl, James McLean
Director: Robert Dyke
Writer: Walter Koenig
Cast: Richard Hatch, Courtney Peldon, Marina Sirtis, Erick Avari,
Jay Acovone, Judy Levitt, Andrew Koenig, Pat Tallman, Gary Graham,
Alan Ruck, Philip Anthony Rodriguez, Walter Koenig

Richard Hatch’s performance is probably the best in his long and successful career as an actor and Marina Siritis is seen as she has never been portrayed before. Everyone in this movie lived up to their high potential, and for that all credit must go to Walter Koenig and director Robert Dyke.

Yes, this is a sci-fi film, but it is so much, much more.

SciFi Red Carpet: Tricia Helfer at L.A. Confidential’s Party for Casey Affleck

Tricia Helfer LA Confidential Casey Affleck Battlestar Galactica

Tricia Helfer was on the scene earlier this week when L.A. Confidential threw a party celebrating the magazine’s current cover boy, Casey Affleck.

Casey is among this year’s Academy Award nominees.  He is being celebrated in the Best Supporting Actor category for his work in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford which played at the Toronto International Film Festival where Tricia’s film Walk All Over Me premiered.

It’s been a good year for Casey, who also gave a strong performance in his brother Ben’s film Gone Baby Gone, a work that is nominated for Oscars in other categories.

Other celebrities at the Los Angeles party included Bai Ling, Nazanin Bonaidi, Linda Thompson, Maya Hazen, Sofia Veraga, Taraji Henson, and many others.

It’s been a slow start to the SciFi Red Carpet sightings in 2008, especially with the cancellation of the Golden Globes earlier this month.  Here’s hoping more BSG stars decide to go out and about in the near future!

Galacticruise

That’s really amazing, I MUST gooooooooo.
The Thirtieth Annyversary Celebration Cruise of the Battlestar Galactica television series. The GalactiCruise will be sailing from Los Angeles to Baja Mexico September 15-19, 2008 on Carnival Cruise Lines.
It’s been nearly thirty years since a ragtag band of space travelers set out to find a shining planet called “Earth.” That was the premise of Universal Studio’s classic TV show “Battlestar Galactica.” September 17, 2008 marks the thirtieth anniversary of the US television premiere of that ground breaking series. To celebrate this milestone, many original original cast members will be reuniting for GALACTICRUISE, a four day Carnival cruise from Los Angeles, California.

Invited are Richard Hatch (Apollo), Dirk Benedict (Starbuck), Anne Lockhart, Laurette Spang, Noah Hathaway, Jack Stauffer, Terry Carter, Herb Jefferson Jr. and many other cast members and production crew.

A limited number of fans of the show are also invited to participate and meet the cast. Info on how to join the cruise can be found at www.galacticruise.com or email info@galacticruise.com. GALACTICRUISE will sail September 15, 2008 to Baja, Mexico.

Starting with the fifteenth anniversary reunion, the original cast has reunited at a convention every five years. There they would share with fans memories of one of biggest TV events ever, the September 17, 1978 US television premiere of “Battlestar Galactica.”

The three hour premiere was the most watched network TV program ever up until that time. “Battlestar” was often compared to Star Wars, but made for TV. It has a loyal following today and is still shown around the world in reruns. It’s also the inspiration behind the current hit SciFi Channel show of the same name. Aaron Douglas and other cast members from the new version will also participate in GALACTICRUISE.

Beginning at 10 on March 28, Battlestar Galactica: Revisited will serve up the essential information on the series’ past three seasons, providing the uninitiated with an introduction to the characters, relationships and backstory. Executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick serve as guides and hosts.

Battlestar Galactica: The Phenomenon follows at 10:30 and is a celebrity-studded celebration of the show’s effect on pop culture. Interviewees include Seth Green, country music star Brad Paisley and Talk Soup’s Joel McHale talking about why Battlestar Galactica is one of the best shows on television.

In the season-four premiere, the last remnants of humanity continue their search for a new home as the thin line that separates them from the rapidly evolving Cylons is redrawn.

Galactica’s crew is rocked by Starbuck’s (Katee Sackhoff) sudden and mysterious return from the dead, bringing claims that she has been to Earth and can lead them there. Meanwhile, four members of the fleet are still reeling from the revelation that they are Cylons.
